FAQ's

Can I enter with a visa and not yet be 100% enrolled?

The safest option is to have a permanent registration. In some cases, a conditional acceptance letter may be accepted, but the risk of rejection increases.

How many hours per week can I work with a D4 visa?

Up to 20 hours per week during school term, and up to 40 hours during school holidays.

Does the visa cover curricular and extracurricular internships?

Yes, as long as the internship is included in the study plan and is formally recognized by the educational institution.

Is it possible to change courses or institutions with an active visa?

Yes, but it is necessary to notify AIMA and new proof of registration may be required.

If I freeze my registration, do I lose my right to residency?

Yes. Residency is conditional on active enrollment. Freezing the course or dropping out may lead to revocation of the residence permit.
